Pappano and London Symphony Orchestra in Florence

Day 1 - Tuesday June 10th –  arrival in Florence

Independent arrival in Florence and hotel accommodation:

Hotel Orologio 4*S

Overlooking Piazza Santa Maria Novella, in the city center a few minutes walk from the station and the Duomo. It has a contemporary and themed decor inspired by the world of luxury watches. The elegantly furnished rooms have quality materials, marble bathrooms and curious details. The breakfast room is located on the fourth floor, in an authentic Renaissance loggia with a breathtaking view of the Basilica. 

Ore 3.00 pm: Meeting at the hotel with the guide. Visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. The Basilica of Santa Maria Novella is a masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance art. Located in the square of the same name, (a few meters from the hotel), its façade, designed by Leon Battista Alberti, is striking for its refined geometric motifs in white and green marble. The majestic and bright interior houses artistic treasures such as the Trinity by Masaccio, the frescoes of the Tornabuoni Chapel by Ghirlandaio, where the young Michelangelo collaborated, the Crucifix by Giotto and the frescoes of the Green Cloister by Paolo Uccello.

7.00 pm: Transfer by minibus to the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

8.00 pm: TREATRO MAGGIO MUSICALE FIORENTINO Pappano and London Symphony Orchestra 

CONCERT

Richard Strauss - Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche op. 28
Giacomo Puccini - Capriccio sinfonico
Hector Berlioz - Symphonie Fantastique op. 14

Duration: approximately 2 hours (including interval)

At the end, return to the hotel by minibus.

Free dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 - Wednesday June 11th 2025 – Folerence and departure

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

9.30 am: Departure on foot for a visit to the San Marco Museum (about 1 km from the hotel). We will visit the Cloister of Sant’Antonino, an oasis of peace, and then continue to the Sala dell’Ospizio, where beautiful altarpieces painted by Angelico for various churches and buildings in Florence and the surrounding area are exhibited, among which the Pala di San Marco, the Pala di Annalena and the Tabernacle of the Linaioli stand out, masterpieces of light and harmony.

At the end of the visit (around 12.00/12.30) return to the hotel. Individual departures.

The order of visits can be changed for operational needs without however modifying the contents

THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Tourist taxes per person per night to be paid locally;

• The organizer reserves the right to cancel the trip, NO LATER THAN 30 days before departure, if the minimum number of participants has not been reached. In this case, the amount paid will be refunded in full.

HOW TO BOOK:

The reservation becomes effective upon receipt of:
1. Travel contract that we will send you at the time of booking
2. deposit requested by bank transfer

DEPOSIT:

A deposit of € 300.00 and any insurance premium for the "trip cancellation" policy are required upon booking.
Cancellation insurance can only be taken out at the same time as registering for the trip.

BALANCE:

30 days before departure (by May 10th)

CANCELLATION

In case of CANCELLATION by the customer, the following penalties will be applied, in addition to the insurance fee:

• 20% of the participation fee for cancellations by March 12, 2025
• 40% of the participation fee for cancellations by April 11, 2025
• 50% of the participation fee for cancellations by April 26, 2025
• 75% of the participation fee for cancellations by May 11, 2025
• from June 01, 2025 no refund in case of cancellation

It is possible to subscribe to the "Travel Cancellation" policy at the same time as booking the trip (regulations will be sent upon request)

Amount per person in a double and/or single room
- € 22.00 per person up to 74 years of age (cancellation also for pre-existing illnesses)
- € 44.00 per person from 75 years of age (cancellation also for pre-existing illnesses)

It is possible to take out a supplementary policy that also covers cancellation in the event of previous illnesses (quote on request).
