Saturday November 1st 2025 - 2° day – Vicenza, Palladian itinerary
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning: Meet with the guide and walking departure for the visit of the city. Famous as the city of the Palladio, Vicenza is a small jewel to discover. During our walk we can admire some of the city’s most beautiful buildings.
We will stop for the visit at the Palladian Basilica, an architectural masterpiece located between the central Piazza dei Signori and Piazza delle Erbe. This is the first major public commission of Andrea Palladio as well as one of his most important works.
We will go on with the visit at the Santa Corona Church. Built by the Dominicans from the 1261, the church had to guard the relic of the holy thorn, given by the king of France, Louis IX to the bishop of Vicenza, Blessed Bartholomew from Breganze. Inside important works of art are hosted. Between them, the masterpiece of Giovanni Bellini the Baptism of Christ, the Adoration of the Magi by Paolo Veronese.

Pranzo libero.

Afternoon: After lunch visit at Palazzo Chiericatti. The palace is one of the most elegant residences in Vicenza, a jewel signed by Andrea Palladio. With its central body and its two symmetrical wings enriched by loggias, it stands out for its harmony and refinement. The façade, embellished with classical statues and columns, gives it an even more majestic air.
Today the palace hosts the Civic Museum of Vicenza, a real paradise for art lovers. Inside an extraordinary collection of venetian painting with masterpieces by great venetian artists like Veronese, highly appreciated by Palladio himself, and Tiepolo.

At the end of the visit, return to the hotel.
Free dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday November 2nd 2025 - 3° day – Villa la Rotonda and Villa Valmarana ai Nani

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning: Meet with the guide and departure by bus for the visit to Villa La Rotonda.
Villa La Rotonda is probably the most famous venetian villa in the world and it’s a kind of summary of the Palladian architecture principles. Designed by Palladio in 1556 on behalf of the nobleman from Vicenza, Paolo Almerico, the villa stands a few kilometres from the centre of Vicenza, an area that at the time must have been of open countryside. It’s a magnificent circular dome-shaped temple-villa, clearly inspired by ancient temples and the Pantheon of Rome: geometric rigor and grace find their most successful union in this building, symbol of perfection and harmony between architecture and landscape.

We will go on with the visit at the suggestive Villa Valmarana ai Nani, famous for Giambattista Tiepolo’s 1757 frescos cycle, among his greatest masterpieces. The mythological and classical scenes, painted with extraordinary lightness and theatricality, make the interior of the villa an explosion of light, movement and sophistication.

The name “ai Nani” comes from 17 stone sculptures representing small characters, once scattered around the garden and now lined up along the boundary wall. Following a local legend, they would be linked to story of a princess affected by dwarfism, who lived here among dwarf servants until the day when, discovering her diversity, she allowed herself to die of pain.

Return to Vicenza and free lunch.

Afternoon: Free time for individual activities.
